Jim's Antique GOYARD Jewelry Case

This small, black jewelry case was purchased from an antique center near Glasgow, Scotland. Contacting Goyard, Jim found out that this piece was from the 1920's. The initials, LCT, which could very well stand for Louis Comfort Tiffany, is quite intriguing. Unfortunately, Goyard claims that all their records were lost due to the 2nd World War so they cannot confirm if the case was indeed commissioned by Mr Tiffany himself. Oh well, it is nice to think that this was specially made for him. Congratulations on your find, Jim and I'm sure you'll enjoy this Goyard in your home for years to come. Goyard Trolley

 The art of traveling in style is all but lost nowadays but the Trolley from Goyard is a testament that one still can.  I wanted to feature this model because it will soon be discontinued. As it is, I could only find out the price of the grand modele here in the US which is $5200.  Apparently, a re-designed version will be released in the Summer of 2012.  So, if you like this style, better hurry and call your nearest boutique.

Goyard Vintage Suitcase

I love anything vintage so when this came up for sale at an online auction, I knew I had to blog about it. Measuring 19.5" x 16" x 7.5", this supposedly 1950's suitcase is covered in Goyard cotton canvas. I have only seen a few pieces that have this and so its always a delight to see them.

Goyard Sac Voyage in Goyardine

I'm not sure when La Maison Goyard released the chevron in jacquard or what is called the Goyardine canvas. As far as I can tell from online auctions, pieces from the collection date back to the 1980's or so. The Limited Edition Grey Sac Voltaire had this same type of material. Featured here is a Sac Voyage or Weekender Bag. With it's simple pattern and functional design, I believe this is a great piece to travel with.

As per auction: THIS SUPERLATIVE TREASURE CHEST IN COWHIDE MEASURES 32" X 18" X 17" C/ 1875 IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION FOR ITS' AGE. THE PREVIOUS OWNER USED IT AS A WINE COOLER WITH A WATERPROOF ZINC LINER NO LONGER PRESENT. TO REPLACE THE LINER IT WON'T BE DIFFICULT, BUT THE USE OF THIS TRUNK IS VERSATILE. IT WOULD LOOK NICE IN ANY ROOM. IT IS FULLY SIGNED WITH A METAL TAG OUTSIDE AND A PAPER LABEL INSIDE. GOYARD MADE THIS TRUNK IN THE EARLY DAYS OF ITS BUSINESS. IT IS SOLD WITHOUT RESERVE AND I AM SURE IT WILL FIND A HOME TO BE ENJOYED FOR ANOTHER LIFETIME.
