The Goyard Monograms
Goyard is unique because they offer personalization of their products. This harkens back to services that were available when boat and train trunks practically look the same and can only be identified with one's initials. The Goyard Monograms come in a limited variety of fonts, sizes and colours. Anything can be emblazoned with your initials from the tiniest card case to the fabulous colourful atelier trunks. Service time is usually 2-3 months since they are sent out to be hand-painted. Of note though, the letters tend to peel especially if placed in an area where constant rubbing cannot be avoided.

Goyard Core Collection: Ambassade
Toted by mostly men, the Ambassade is Goyard's answer to the modern briefcase. Crafted out of chevron canvas and calf leather, it comes in a standard briefcase or a 24 hours luggage piece. The luggage has two compartments. Currently priced at $2300 for the briefcase and $2900 for the 24 hours. 25% for special colours.

Goyard Core Collection: Jeanne
Reminiscent of old world travel pieces, the crescent-shaped Jeanne is a staple of the House of Goyard. It comes in three sizes the Grand, Moyen & Petit Modèle. This top handled bag is secured with a zipper and provides ample space for everyday essentials. The bag's edges are leather protected. Current US retail prices are GM $1615, MM $1565 and PM $1315.

The Core Collection: Boeing
Created with travel in mind, the Boeing is a collection of different sized luggage pieces that could take you from a simple afternoon jaunt to a week's worth in your favourite getaway. It has an interesting shape in which two flaps from the sides could be tucked down securing the zipped top or be unfastened to create more room within. Calfskin leather protect the bag's edges and the base is supported by feet.
It comes in these sizes: 25, 30, 45, 55 and 65. Currently for the classic colours of black with black trim, black with tan trim and finally the red, the US prices are 25 - $800; 30 - $2250; 45 - $2315; 55 - $2620 and 65 $2960. All other colours are at a premium of $300 to $400 more. Take note that the 25 is a toiletry kit whilst the 30 is more of a handbag.

What's so special about the Goyard Canvas?
As mentioned before, the canvas has a three-dimensional chevron pattern that appears to be hand-painted on. The canvas itself is woven out of cotton, hemp and linen that is then coated with a gum arabic resin making the material resilient, lightweight and above all, waterproof! The pattern is then painstakingly impressed using a cadrette one colour at a time thus creating the 3D illustion.
The highly specialized technique employed in this process makes each piece unique. Counterfeits tend to be heavy and has a vinyl, plasticky odor. Since the dots are impressions of paint, you can actually feel the "bumps" as opposed to the smooth, shiny surface of printed fakes. This, also makes the print itself to be susceptible to peeling especially on the edges of bags.
Goyard Core Collection: The Comores
Another staple of the Maison Goyard is the Comores Tote. Crafted out of the same canvas, it comes in all the colours that Goyard has to offer and measures 13" x 15" x 3". The handles and sides of the bag are in calfskin. Classic colours are retailed currently at $1680 and Special colours at $2185. There is an option for longer straps but that's an additional $400.
