Goyard Boîte à Chapeau or Hat Box






As per auction listing: This Auction feautures a Rare Early Goyard Steamer .travel trunk. This was purchased from the Estate of Perle Mesta in Oklahoma City. This has Perle Mesta's name on the top in big capital letters. Perle Mesta was born October 12, 1889 - Died March 16, 1975. Perle was known as the Hostess with the Mostest for her lavish parties featuring the brightest stars of Washington D.C., society including Artists, entertainers and many top level National Political figures. Harry S. Truman awarded her the Ambassador to Luxembourg in 1949 to 1953. This case/ trunk is in good condition, the handle is off. The interior liner is in great condition and has the Goyard label intack. The case mesures 18 X19 3/4 X10". I do not have a key.
