Goyard is not only well known for hand stenciling monograms on its pieces, but also for adding personalized touches. In the days when trunks were outfitted for royalty, the family crest was emblazoned in full display with corresponding coloured stripes. This tradition is still upheld today by the House (for a nominal fee of course) with a modern twist. Crests are now replaced with motifs such as a seahorse or the limited edition skull, a collaboration with Mastermind Japan.
Interestingly enough, the crown motif seen below used to be readily available. Recently, Goyard mandated that one must show proof of a royal bloodline to obtain this personalization.
A standard of top handled bags for Goyard, the Croisière sets itself apart due to its adjustable handles. It comes in four sizes 35, 45, 50 and 60; the 35 being the only one considered as a handled purse and the rest are travel pieces. Prices in the US for standard colours red and black are $1625 for the 35, $2150 for 45, $2275 for 50, and $2750 for the 60. Lastly, there was a Mini Croisière (see below) but unfortunately it has been discontinued.
During the height of Goyard's history, a department was created exclusively to cater to man's furry friends. The clients: dogs, cats and monkeys. The company provided harnesses, collars, leashes, kennels, boots and even protective automobile glasses! The travelling pet bowl below still remains as one of Goyard's most iconic pieces.
